Trinity Lutheran’s Extended Care Program will provide the parents and children of TLS with a child care service before and after the school day, as well as on weekdays where school may dismiss early or may not be in session. Games, craft projects, homework, snacks, and other activities will give participating children a positive experience in a Christian, safe, healthy, comfortable, and supervised environment. The program will be staffed by qualified adults who will share a genuine Christian love for each child on a daily basis.

Who We Serve

Trinity Lutheran Extended Care serves all children in grades preschool through eighth grade enrolled at Trinity Lutheran School.  Families with children in Preschool to 8th grade at Trinity may use our Extended Care service every day or periodically. Registration is required for all students participating in Extended Care.

Parents of children in K to 8 may plan to use the extended care service on “a drop in” basis through the year; those who wish to use the service in this way are advised to fill out a registration form at the beginning of the year so that one is on file at the school.  Preschool and Prekindergarten extended care is provided in a preschool classroom with a small adult-to-student ratio, and therefore "drop in" care is not available for early childhood extended care.

For K-8 Extended Care rates, please check the Tuition formula page of our site.

Early Childhood Extended Care

The Extended Care program for Early childhood was created with the young child in mind. The three and four-year old children in our school have different needs than the children in the kindergarten through 8th grade. Therefore, our early childhood extended care is housed in an early childhood classroom where the furniture, materials and bathroom facilities are age-appropriate for this group of children. This program is staffed by one designated adult, so there is a consistency and the opportunity to develop a relationship of trust. The schedule has also been developed with the young child in mind and consists of table activities, story time, songs, snack, creative play and large motor/movement activities. With the specialization of this program families are asked to pay on a monthly basis and drop in registration is not accepted.
